What cookies are

Cookies are small pieces of information that websites can ask a browser to store and send with later requests. They can support essential functions, remember preferences or enable tracking. Other browser storage mechanisms, including localStorage and sessionStorage, are distinct technologies with their own behaviour.

What this site code does

The HTML, stylesheet and JavaScript provided for these pages do not write cookies, localStorage or sessionStorage. The menu state and scroll-reveal state exist only in the current page. No advertising network, analytics package or embedded social-media widget is included.

The correction composer holds the draft in the page while you use it. It does not save the draft into site storage or transmit it. Browser-managed form restoration, caching and download history are controlled separately by your browser.

Clipboard and file actions

Choosing “Copy draft” requests clipboard access for that action. Choosing “Download .txt” creates a local text file through a temporary browser-generated file URL. Neither action is a cookie, and neither sends the draft to the website. Clipboard contents and downloaded files may remain on your device until you replace or delete them.

Hosting and deployment services

Server infrastructure can operate separately from the page code, including security or traffic-management functions. If a deployment-level consent interface is displayed, use it to manage any optional technologies it identifies. A consent interface is not itself evidence that the editorial pages contain analytics.

This notice describes the supplied static site functionality. Any subsequently added service that changes cookie or storage use should be documented here before it is relied on.

Your controls

Use your browser’s site-data settings to inspect, block or clear cookies and stored data. Browser menus differ by product and version. Blocking JavaScript disables the correction composer and mobile menu toggle; the main articles and references remain readable. Links to external references lead to sites with their own policies.
